GUIUAN, Eastern Samar Province, Republic of the Philippines (Nov. 17, 2013)- Sailors, Marines & Philippine civilians unload relief supplies that were airlifted ashore
Sailors assigned to the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73), Marines from the 3d Marine Expeditionary Brigade (3d MEB), and Philippine civilians unload relief supplies that were airlifted ashore in support of Operation Damayan. The George Washington Carrier Strike Group supports the 3d MEB to assist the Philippine government in response to the aftermath of Super Typhoon Haiyan in the Republic of the Philippines.
