BRL Development, developers of Cottage Cove, a planned 35-unit condominium development on Elk Lake (one of Michigan's famous "Chain of Lakes") near Elk Rapids, Michigan, has announced model tour times and construction of four more units.
"There is increasing interest in our development because of the boat slip on Elk Lake that we include with each unit," said Lon Shreve, owner/partner of BRL Development. "And since Cottage Cove may be the last private harbor that will be developed with access to the Chain of Lakes, people from as far away as Texas and the Carolinas have traveled here to tour the property."
Tours have been set for Tuesdays 3 p.m. - 6 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays 1 - 4 p.m. throughout the summer or can be made by appointment.
According to Randy Harlan, Project Manager, ground was also recently broken for four new units that have been sold. Two units will be two-story townhouse-style in design; the other two are bungalow-style on a single level. All units will have attached 2-car garages.
Each of the townhouse-style units are approximately 2,000 square feet with a 950-square foot basement. The bungalows will be approximately 1,300 square feet.
Each unit also includes a 28' boat slip and an 11' X 40' storage unit with a 12' garage door. "The storage unit is perfect to store your boat, RV, snowmobile or other toys," says Harlan.
Cottage Cove units are designed for virtually maintenance-free living, featuring fiber cement exterior siding and composite deck materials. BRL Development is building Cottage Cove on a 23-acre wooded waterfront site at the northern tip of magnificent Elk Lake, and adjacent to 42-Acres of Land Conservancy with nature and wildlife habitat. Elk Lake is one of Michigan's famous Chain of Lakes, comprised of 14 lakes and over 245 streams and tributaries interconnected by rivers and channels.
