Due to their dedication to research and development, New Nautical Coatings, manufacturer of Sea Hawk antifouling paints, had a record 37% YTD sales increase over last year. Erik Norrie, company CEO, made the announcement.
"We've invested in understanding our enemy, the barnacle, and it's paying off," said Norrie. He attributes the added sales to the research, development and testing of their new products.
With copper-free, nano-based technology, Mission Bay and Mission Bay CSF are the most technologically advanced self-polishing antifoulants on the market. Premium quality Biocop TF is a new high-performance, non-tin antifouling finish that provides expert protection. "Customers want new technology with superior results and are willing to pay for the very best," said Norrie.
With a greater demand for Sea Hawk paints, New Nautical Coatings has invested in new types of equipment to increase capacity and deliver it faster. A modern paint autofill machine allows them to produce more with higher efficiency and stringent quality control. A new software system streamlines production and delivery which helps them provide superior service to their customers.
The company's focus on service led to the addition of 30 certified yards this year alone. "Consumers show they want certified applicators," Norrie remarked. "We are also gaining ground with OEMs. More and more boatbuilders such as Viking, Carver and Silverton exclusively use our Sea Hawk antifouling paint."
Florida-based, family-owned New Nautical Coatings constantly invests in new technology to deliver superior products. Its well-known Sea Hawk antifoulants Cukote, Tropikote, Monterey, Biocop TF, Mission Bay and Island 77 Plus are part of a complete line of quality coatings systems. Sea Hawk antifouling paints come with a written 1-year warranty.
