Spain. PBO technology proves another amazing year for Future Fibres
Thursday, 16 November 2006
2006 has turned out to be another remarkable year for Future Fibres with countless race wins and its world record tally growing to thirty eight. Records have been set across a range of classes, including the multiple records currently held by Thomas Coville’s Open 60 Tri, SODEBO and Bruno Peyron’s Maxi Cat Orange II.
From the early days of PBO technology in 1997, to the latest developments in 2006, strong, lightweight and reliable rigging has been supplied by Future Fibres to a vast array of record breakers.
Varying in size from 43ft to 140ft, mono-hulls, multi-hulls, ketches, sloops, single-handed to fully crewed - all the record breaking yachts have been built to different specifications and with different priorities. Ultimately they all seek top performance and reliability of equipment in all conditions. Future Fibres consistently delivers high quality custom PBO rigging for high performance yachts, and the proof is in the records. See the table below for a selection of the best (source - World Sailing Speed Record Council).
Future Fibres has agents covering America, Europe and Australasia, all fully trained rigging experts appointed by Future Fibres to install rigging systems and maintain the recommended service schedule for yacht owners.
