Palladium Technologies has announced it has signed a distribution agreement with Lantic Systems A/S. Under the agreement Palladium will be the exclusive supplier of Lantic’s high-end networked cabin entertainment and concierge controls for the megayacht industry in North and South America.
The Lantic Yacht Systems will be integrated with Palladium’s SiMON monitoring and control systems, and will also be sold as a stand-alone system.
Lantic has developed an Ethernet-based scalable suite of megayacht control systems, giving guests in each cabin independent access to entertainment, information and comfort controls. The Lantic Yacht Systems use a unique all-in-one wireless RF device for remote point-and-click menu-based selections. A discrete bulkhead-mounted flat color touchscreen display is also offered. The display unit is sized to fit in standard Vimar frames to blend with the yacht’s interior décor.
The Lantic cabin systems provide a complete array of entertainment features, including satellite TV, movies, Internet and audio, and management of HVAC comfort systems, lighting, draperies and blinds to suit individual preferences. When integrated with SiMON, the vessel’s monitoring and control screens, as well as navigation and chart displays and closed-circuit TV images, can also be viewed in each cabin.
“Lantic’s advanced PC-based network architecture provides a flexible approach to in-cabin control over entertainment and concierge services and nicely complements SiMON’s core capabilities,” said Michael Blake, president and CEO of Palladium Technologies. “The Ethernet backbone makes for easy installation in newbuilds or retrofits with minimal cable runs and separate servers.”
Since 1991, Palladium Technologies (has been a pioneer in developing and deploying advanced control and monitoring solutions for the world’s megayacht industry. Palladium’s flagship product, SiMON, has won widespread acclaim and acceptance throughout the industry for its depth of integrated monitoring control capabilities, its rich user graphics and its ease of use. Palladium is privately held and based in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
