Today’s three race have been sailed with a slightly stronger wind and the exclusion of the worst score highlighted the most talented teams

Tomorrow is the final day of this record-breaking edition, that shows the vitality of the class and the reliability of the organizing club Fraglia Vela Riva

Today was the second to last day of races at the 29er Eurocup organized by Fraglia Vela Riva that has started once again very early in the morning, but it was totally worthwhile  since the wind was stronger and blew for longer, that has allowed to sail three races (now six in total). 12-knots (with some stronger gusts) have been sufficient to make the difference for the fleets letting the most talented teams have their say in the regatta.

In fact, the French Revil-Guevel (bronze medallists at the Worlds and second youth) managed to take on the lead. Despite their not so committed start with a 5^th place, they won the other two races and are now on top of the provisional ranking 6 points ahead of the European silver medallists Kasper-Berglund SWE (2-1-2). 

Outstanding performance also for the British Robins-Vennis with 1-1-3 in their heat and the exclusion of the worst score climbed the provisional chart from rank 45 to rank 3.

The Italian Boletti-Torchi maintain their rank (25^th and first among Italians). Unfortunately, the Italian teams protagonists of the past two seasons are not participating due to a change to FIV Olympic class, i.e. the European champions Zampiccoli-Chistè (Circolo Vela Arco) and Porro-Leoni. Tomorrow is the final day of races and the top 3 will be decided. The victory ceremony will also be the occasion to thank all the participating teams, and the organizing staff both on land and on the water, as the secretary office, technical operators and the Race Committee, who have allowed to sail as many races as possible, regardless the rising before dawn and the wind conditions.

Tomorrow’s start is fixed at 8:30 am, with the solace of winter time change and one extra sleeping hour!
