A member of Coast Guard Station Mayport and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administation Fisheries look at a deceased right whale

The right whale was brought to the Mayport boat ramp Jan. 25, 2007. The whale will be transported to the University of Florida for a necropsy to determine the cause of death. A commercial fisherman spotted the right whale off of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., and notified the Coast Guard
