Design Unlimited, the leading interior designer and stylist for production and super yachts, is delighted to announce that it has entered into a partnership with Bavaria Yachtbau GmbH, the world’s largest builder of production boats. The first project on which the two companies, together with Farr Yacht Design, are working together is the Vision 46 which is to be launched at BootDüsseldorf later this week.

Design Unlimited has been contributing its expertise on both the interior and exterior styling, using the feedback from the customer and dealer workshops that BAVARIA conducted across seven countries. The brief for the Vision 46 required that the yacht should combine elegance, comfort and easy handling, and Design Unlimited has styled a radical new craft that looksunlike anything that BAVARIA has produced before.

Visitors to Boot Düsseldorf will see a yacht in which comfort both on deck and below is crucial.

Aimed primarily at the owner‐sailed market, the requirement for first class sailing characteristics and manoeuvrability in port has also had a major influence on the design process. High‐tech features that are unusual on a production boat of this size include retractablebow and stern thrusters for easy berthing and an oversized bathing platform complete with integral shower.
Below decks Design Unlimited has created an interior that is awash with light from hatches, windows and portlights, and which features an innovative galley layout that gives exceptional space for food preparation. An array of imaginative storage solutions together with a range of flexible berth options are additional touches that both look good and are highly practical.

“We’re delighted to be working with the design team at BAVARIA on their exciting new Vision range,” said Design Unlimited’s Mark Tucker. “BAVARIA is at a very exciting stage of its development and as the world’s largest builder of sailing yachts it has enormous influence on the global market. We are very proud to be playing a part in its continued success.”
