With great fanfare, Sabre Yachts launched the spectacular Sabre 52 Salon Express – the largest motoryacht in the company’s history – at a special event in Portland, Maine on March 16, 2007.
The Sabre 52 features the classic “Downeast” styling, extraordinary craftsmanship and performance for which Sabre Yachts is so well known. “With her exceptional design features, we know the Sabre 52 will open us up to an entirely new customer base in the U.S. and abroad, “said Bentley Collins, Vice President of Marketing and Sales. “The Sabre 52 is a boat that will appeal to serious yachtsmen all over the world from Europe, to the Middle East, to Asia, Australia and beyond.”
Sabre Yachts initial production schedule called for manufacturing six Sabre 52s for the remainder of this year. The company is currently taking orders for late 2007 delivery and into 2008.
Her elevated helm deck offers clear sight lines from twin Stidd helm chairs. A sunroof above the salon retracts to let in the daytime sun or the stars at night. The 52’s oversized U-shaped lounge – finished with custom fabrics – surrounds a spectacular inlaid cherry dining/coffee table. Amenities such as a retractable LCD television, built-in wine cooler and icemaker, concealed bar area and exceptional recessed lighting complete the elegant and luxurious ambiance of this spacious, airy salon.
Exceptional design features are clearly evident below deck on the Sabre 52. The layout includes two staterooms. Double Shoji style pocket doors lead to the master stateroom (amidship), which includes a spacious queen island berth, bureau and nightstands, cedar-lined lockers, built-in LCD television with DVD player, and exclusive access to the master head with an oversized shower compartment.
The Sabre 52’s guest stateroom (forward) is equally spacious, with a queen sized island berth, a bureau, built-in LCD television with DVD player, cedar-lined closet and private access to the guest head.
A clever galley design, open to the salon above, includes many features typically found on larger yachts – Sub Zero drawer type refrigerators, a Fisher Pykel dishwasher, Splendide washer and drier and even a top-of-the-line, built in stainless steel coffeemaker with dedicated water line.
Exquisite craftsmanship is exhibited in the fine woodworking details and superior fit and finish throughout her interior.
Substantial performance comes standard on the Sabre 52. Twin diesel CAT C15 865hp engines linked to Twin Disc Quick Shift marine gears provide comfortable cruising speeds in the mid-20-knot range.
