USA. Annual Holiday Boat Parade of the Palm Beaches & 2006 “On the Water” Toys for Tots Drive

The Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County announces the 11th Annual Holiday Boat Parade of the Palm Beaches featuring the Loggerhead Club & Marinaä Traveling Fireworks Display and the 7th Annual “On the Water” Toys for Tots Drive, from 6 to10 p.m. Saturday, December 2nd, 2006. The Holiday Boat Parade of the Palm Beaches provides family entertainment to start the holiday and charitable season. Activities include the boat parade, fireworks, waterfront viewing and other live events such as the “Waterfront Homeowner’s Competition” with decorated homes being judged by boat. Thousands of spectators and dozens of decorated vessels of all shapes and sizes will participate in the parade and enjoy the lights of the festive vessels. The Parade route begins at Peanut Island and cruises north to Jupiter. Leading the floating procession of lights and fireworks are Grand Marshals, Mo & Sally, morning hosts KOOL 105.5 FM. Parade routes for viewing on land include Phil Foster Park – Riviera Beach; Blue Heron Bridge – Riviera Beach; Peanut Island (requires transportation to and from island) – Riviera Beach/Singer Island; Sailfish Marina – Singer Island; Lake Park Marina – Lake Park; Kelsey Park – Lake Park; North Palm Beach Country Club – North Palm Beach; Waterway Café – Palm Beach Gardens; River House – Palm Beach Gardens; Seasons 52 – Palm Beach Gardens; Panama Hattie’s – Palm Beach Gardens; Rum Bar – Palm Beach Gardens; PGA Bridge – Palm Beach Gardens; Juno Park – Juno Beach; Bert Winters Park – Juno Beach; Donald Ross Bridge – Juno Beach

The Marine Industries Association aims to surpass last year’s Toys for Tots Drive collection of almost 6000 toys for the area’s children. Donations of new, unwrapped toys for the Toys for Tots Drive will be accepted by volunteer boats picking up donations dockside along the parade route during the parade, by land at the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation drop-off centers listed on the website. Additionally, Additionally, Coast Guard Station Lake Worth Inlet will have a crew at the North Palm Beach Country Club golf course to collect donations from spectators.
