The fifteenth Targa Rodolfo Bonetto will be awarded on the opening day of Seatec 2009, the seventh International Exhibition of technology, subcontracting and design for boats, yachts and ships due to take place at CarraraFiere from 5 to 7 February 2009. The award is divided into two sections and is open to students from Faculties of Architecture, Design and Industrial Design as well as Schools of Design: Technological Innovation – small boats – and infrastructures – pleasure ports. The first three winning projects will be shown throughout Seatec in the Design Area of Hall D.

Seatec, the seventh International Exhibition of technology, subcontracting and design for boats, yachts and ships due to take place at CarraraFiere from 5 to 7 February 2009, and Design Center, represented by Marco Bonetto, open the competition for the fifteenth Targa Rodolfo Bonetto with the sections Technological Innovation and Infrastructures. The competition is open to students only, of any age and nationality from faculties of Architecture, design and Industrial Design as well as Schools of Design. The competition is free to enter; the form available for download at the site www.sea-tec.it should be completed and returned by 10 November 2008.

The theme for Technological Innovation is Small boats (max. 12 metres), sailing and motor boats, open or with cabins. Free interpretations should involve the detailed design and study of the most suitable shape for the use of technology to achieve low costs, with a view to actually going ahead with the serial production of the proposed concepts.

For the infrastructures section, this year's theme is pleasure ports. Free interpretations concern pleasure port projects within existing commercial ports with reference to Marina di Carrara. The selected designs will be shown in the Design Area during the three days of Seatec 2009, from 5 to 7 February . The Targa Rodolfo Bonetto awards ceremony will take place on the first day of the exhibition.
