White Railway Bridge

Removal of Overhead Power Lines

Waterways Ireland has been notified by ESB Networks and wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that the overhead power lines immediately North of the white railway bridge in Athlone are to be removed.

The work is scheduled for the period 21st. to 25th. Aug, it is expected that navigation will only be interrupted for a number of hours on one of these dates.

A safety boat will be in attendance and masters are requested to note any directions issued by safety marshals overseeing the work.

Waterways Ireland thanks its customers for their cooperation in this matter.
