ALL-DAY ENTERTAINMENT AND FAMILY FUN AT SCIBS 2017

Saturday, 20 May 2017

The 2017 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) is just around the corner, promising a packed schedule of boating-themed displays, live music, kids’ activities, celebrity cooking demonstrations and hands-on experiences for seasoned boaties and those considering dipping a toe in!

Held from May 25 to 28, The Marine Village will be transformed into a thriving hub of fun for the whole family, as the region’s premier boat show rolls out four full days of entertainment.

From first entry till sundown, patrons will discover a lively atmosphere teeming with colour and energy throughout the Boat Show precincts and roving entertainment completing the carnival vibe.

SCIBS general manager Johan Hasser said this year’s event would feature a wide range of diverse activities catering to a range of ages and interests.

“SCIBS 2017 offers exceptional value for your entry price,” Mr Hasser said.

“Families, couples and those just interested in soaking up the atmosphere of what is truly a world-class event can spend the day, or four days, experiencing the luxury boat launches, innovative gear and gadgets, the latest water toys and much more.

“We’ll also have a jam-packed program of marine-themed activities that celebrate our brilliant coastal lifestyle.”

In a major coup, automotive sponsor Bentley Brisbane will host its first Queensland ‘Be Extraordinary’ roadshow at SCIBS, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the brand’s proud 100-year history while marvelling at its current range.

The interactive exhibit will include visual stories detailing everything from the process of selecting hides and the length of time it takes to hand-stitch the steering wheel in the Mulsanne, to celebrating the company’s racing success over the century.

If you’re looking for the perfect boat for your needs, you can arrange a sea trial at SCIBS that lets you experience your dream boat on-water.

SCIBS is the ideal event for those interested in purchasing a new boat to step beyond the brochure and take it to the water to become better acquainted with its features.

These and many more experiences await you at the 29th Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show. Here are just a few, in no particular order, that you, your family and friends can look forward to.
