Preview of the 2017 Antigua Bermuda Race

The Antigua Bermuda Race starts on Friday May 12, when a diverse fleet of 21 boats ranging from 40-162ft representing nine different nations and crews from many more, will be on the startline off Fort Charlotte, Antigua for the first race organized by Royal Bermuda Yacht Club in association with Antigua Sailing Week. The 935 nautical mile race is a new fixture in the offshore sailing calendar and this year, it will arrive in Bermuda in good time for the 35th America's Cup celebrations. The race is proudly supported by Bermuda Tourism Authority and Goslings Rum.

The inaugural Antigua Bermuda Race will commence on Friday 12 May 

Organised by the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club in association with Antigua Sailing Week, the Antigua Bermuda Race is designed to offer an exciting passage race to Bermuda, the home of the 2017 America's Cup

The race is open to yachts and multihulls with a minimum length of 40ft (12m) with a valid CSA and/or IRC or Superyachts with ORCsy ratings
 A provision of a Motor Sailing Handicap will be overlaid for Cruiser Racers

The Antigua Bermuda Race is supported by The Bermuda Tourism Authority and Goslings Rum
