Sirocco presents new model Sealegs and Brig at SCIBS
Wednesday, 05 April 2017
Sirocco Marine North will be part of a national contingent of dealer principals attending the 29th Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, 25 to 28 May on Queensland’s Gold Coast.
New in 2017 is the Sealegs 7.7m Sport D-Tube, ideal for the coastal lifestyle, adventure nomads, anglers and those living and FNQ or regions where there is challenging terrain, crocs and reefs.
Designed and built in-house by Sealegs, the new 7.7m Sport D-Tube joins the company’s popular 6.1m model in the D-Tube range. The new larger model will appeal to those who want more volume in their amphibious craft, coupled with additional features to make it an all-round for exploration and angling.
The 7.7m Sport D-Tube measures in at 7.8m in length overall with the wheels up, and has an external beam of 2.26m. The 5mm aluminium hull has a 21 degree deadrise, and features six aluminium chambers making the craft very stable, buoyant and virtually unsinkable.
Fishos will love the open layout of the 7.7m Sport D-Tube and its ability to access remote and shallower waters, using the Sealegs system to navigate their way to the desired spot no matter what the tidal condition.
The unrivalled space in the helm area and the high cockpit sides mean you will be able to land even the largest fish securely.
Like all Sealegs craft, the 7.7m D-Tube is powered by Sealegs patented Amphibious Enablement System, or AES. The AES, including a fully marinised system of hydraulically powered legs and wheels, is powered by a marinised 22HP inboard engine. The fully integrated, turn-key package uses the same fuel source as the outboard, and is simple to learn and engage.
Designed to be rapidly deployed, the 7.7m Sport D-Tube can be driven from a storage location or trailer, down a launching ramp or beach and into the water – all with the occupants staying in the boat and remaining completely dry.
The 21 degree, 5mm aluminium constructed hull is rated from 150hp-200hp outboards. With a 200hp engine, the 7.7m Sport D-Tube will achieve 38.5 knots.
Sirocco Marine will have 15 Brig models on display, including the complete new HT series, 2.9m to 3.8m. These are the light-weight, low cost yacht, powerboat and cat tender option. It’s a high quality, great value proposition combining Brig and Honda engines, giving owners the advantage of the Brig 6-year, all-inclusive warranty and Honda’s 7-year national all-inclusive warranty.
Brig has a solid history of innovation and R&D, releasing 15 new models in 10 years – compared to competitors which have contracted or remained static.
Sirocco Marine will be promoting and taking orders for the game-changing new Brig Eagle 10. Customers can tailor their new RIB to any configuration ahead of the official Australian launch at the Sydney International Boat Show.
“It’s the most exciting launch in the history of Brig,” states Neil Webster, Australian distributor at Sirocco Marine. “It will be the largest at 10m, with twin 300hp engines for loads of oomph. The Eagle 10 will be a true 50 knot boat, and even more thrilling than its speed and stability – the array of unique features will make it a fantastic day boat and weekender suited to all kinds of uses.”
The Eagle 10 was designed as the ultimate RIB cruiser. It boasts a deep-V-hull that ensures a dry, smooth ride. It’s more stable, lightweight and low-maintenance than its hard-sided counterparts, and it’s extremely seaworthy thanks to the Hypalon tubes and their buoyancy and durability.
In addition, it features comfortable seats, a convertible table and sun deck, a sink unit that can accommodate a fridge/stove, a convenient stern swim platform with folding ladder and outdoor shower kit, plus a well-appointed cabin complete with double bed.
For family fun, as an island hopper, luxury boat tender, chase boat, aquatic sport platform, coastal cruising and more, the Eagle 10 delivers.
From the UK-built Williams Jet Tender range, the Williams 385 Turbojet Tender will be on show at SCIBS. As well as being a fast, functional yacht tender, the 385 Turbojet comfortably seats five adults and one child with space for storage and is perfect for day trips, a platform for watersports, or pulling up on a secluded beach for a picnic.
It boasts a top speed of 77 kph with the standard engine or 85kph if you opt for the ‘S’ version engine.
The new Sirocco Marine North website will be launched at SCIBS. It’s designed to create seamless product and pricing functionality for computers and tablets with easy navigation and information at your fingertips.
