USA. Sea RayŽ to debut new To L-Class yacht in Miami
Saturday, 21 January 2017
Sea Ray’s acclaimed L-Class line-up will expand once more with the addition of the new L550, slated to make its debut and World Premiere at Yachts Miami Beach. Blending time-tested Sea Ray craftsmanship with a sophisticated, modern aesthetic, the L550 is a seamless blend of style and substance, and a fitting complement to the L550 Fly, which debuted in November.
“Miami is the perfect venue at which to unveil the new L550,” said Scott Ward, president and general manager of Sea Ray Sport Yachts and Yachts. “We’re thrilled to introduce an enticing new option to the global community of yacht customers. With its superior level of fit and finish and its impressive performance, the L550 exemplifies the kind of experience found only with an L-Class yacht.”
Hallmarks of the L550 include luxurious modern styling, exquisite lines, superior performance and effortless livability, with a contemporary interior design that provides a tranquil environment for owners and their guests. Throughout the yacht, advanced technologies enhance comfort and ease-of-use, including vacuum-infused structures and a cutting-edge digital switching system with a proprietary, custom-designed user interface. Livability is exceptional; the lower level features a luxurious full-beam master suite with resort-style head, as well as two additional staterooms and a guest head.
“In creating the L550, we took the complete boating experience into consideration,” said Ward. “As a result, you’ll see thoughtful features like the spacious transom lazarette, which has room for all of the gear a yachtsman could need, and the truly innovative bow greatly expands the entertainment options and social zones of the yacht.”
On the main deck, the sprawling salon features plush seating, a technologically advanced entertainment center with a flatscreen TV and audio system, and a well-appointed galley. Oversized windows and an expansive sunroof flood the salon with natural light. Aft, a flush-threshold, stainless-steel sliding door opens to a large, social cockpit, where amenities and options, including a refrigerator, electric grill and retractable sunshade, encourage gathering in total comfort.
Captaining the yacht is also a pleasure, thanks to a helm equipped with state-of-the-art Raymarine® electronics and available joystick docking. Standard propulsion comes in the form of twin 850-horsepower diesel Caterpillar® inboards, which pair beautifully with Sea Ray’s precision-crafted hull to deliver remarkable stability, efficiency and overall performance.
The new L550 will be on display at Yachts Miami Beach on Collins Avenue at Ramp 1 EX5. Yachts Miami Beach and the Miami International Boat Show run from Feb. 16 to 20, 2017. ABOUT SEA RAY
