National Maritime (NMDG) are proud to announce the opening of Blue Space @ SusCon, an outstanding innovation, business and education centre for sustainable industries.

Working in partnership with SusCon, one of the most sustainable education facilities in the UK and  pioneers of new approaches to sustainable construction training and research,  Blue Space @ Suscon, will  support innovative maritime businesses involved in sustainable design, construction, policy,  maintenance, operations, education and training. 

Situated next to the QEII Bridge and close to the River Thames, this unique £6.5m, 30,000 sq. facility located at the centre of the UK’s largest maritime region, will provide high quality business units, conference facilities, workspace, training and meeting rooms, and also offer networking and business support. The centre will help support maritime industries, facilitate growth opportunities, and workforce development as an economic benefit for the region.

Peter Green, CEO of National Maritime (NMDG) says: “We are excited that Blue Space @ SusCon will help drive trade, productivity and growth for maritime industries and we are delighted to announce this new service in partnership with SusCon, an equally enthusiastic and passionate partner, who reflect and share our pioneering approach and seriousness about advancing the state of the ‘UK maritime sector’ and taking on the challenge of ensuring that the UK remains a global maritime centre. Maritime industries within the UK’s largest maritime region, the Thames and Channel, now have a base to do business and support professional and workforce development, assisted by the National Maritime (NMDG) and SusCon”.
