Part of the fun of boating is enjoying time in the sun. When it's time to cool off below deck, however, boaters can rely on the ultra-quiet FCF air conditioning units from Webasto Thermo & Comfort North America, Inc. to provide a refreshing and comfortable environment. With five different self-contained models, the FCF series offers cooling capacities ranging from 5,000 to 24,000 Btu.

Tagged FCF for its ability to make boaters "Feel Cool Fast," this product line more than lives up to the name. Units are equipped with a high-velocity, three-speed blower. Capable of rotating 360°, it distributes cool air rapidly and can handle multiple vents.

Besides being powerfully efficient, each FCF system is fitted with an exceptionally quiet compressor for hushed operation. Its stable mounting results in far less vibration and noise than with other marine air conditioning products.

Other innovative features include a cupro-nickel condenser, low level condensate drain ports, anti-condensation foam and an extra-deep condensate tray. Reverse cycle heat is standard. Assembled on a sturdy one-piece corrosion-free stainless steel chassis tray combo, these units come finished with durable baked-on enamel paint. A replaceable air filter facilitates easy maintenance.

Webasto's FCF series provides reliable cooling for numerous kinds and sizes of boats and yachts. The FCF 5,000 Btu system has a blower output of 282 cubic feet per minute (cfm). The FCF 9,000 Btu system delivers 344 cfm, the FCF 12,000 Btu, 410 cfm; FCF 16,000 Btu, 505 cfm; and the FCF 24,000 Btu, 2x 324 cfm.

Accompanying seawater and air distribution kits are available as well. Seawater kits, which include a seawater pump, plastic overboard, hose and clamps, as well as bronze seawater scoop, seacock, 90 elbow, seawater strainer, thru hull and fittings, are offered for most FCF systems. The kits come in both 115V and 230V. Seawater hardware kits excluding pump are also available.

Users can purchase plastic or teak air distribution kits. Included in the air distribution kits are a transition box, y-divider, flexible insulated duct and return air/supply air grilles.

All FCF models measure between 16 and 20.8" long; 11.2-23.4" wide and 11.6-15.2" high. Units range in weight from 50-132 lbs
