‘Holiday Train Garden begins tonight at Dennis Conner's North Cove and runs through Dec. 24

Saturday, 14 December 2013

Since most mega yachts have already traveled south for the winter, we have a bit more free time on our hands at Dennis Conner's North Cove.

So we thought we would open our doors and do something to help everyone get into the holiday mood.  We have created a Holiday Train Garden which will put a smile on your face and delight all kids, young and old.

The Holiday Train Garden begins tonight and runs until December 24.  Entrance is free.

The train garden is organized by Project City Kids and members of Manhattan Sailing Club do the installation.

There are more than seven trains running at the same time over a large city scape.  There is a skyscraper scene at one end and a harbor scene at the other.   It's a riot of color, activity and excitement.

The Holiday Train Garden is open Monday to Friday from 4:30 to 8 :00 p.m.  On Saturday & Sundays, it is open from noon to 6:00 p.m.  The trains are located on the upper deck of the Honorable William Wall which is docked on the south side of the marina.

Tell your friends, especially those with kids.  It's totally free so come as many times as you like.  There is also a Thomas the Tank Engine for the youngest train enthusiasts.
