Thursday, 17 May 2012

Doing its part to support those in need of aid, SmartPlug recently made a donation to International Rescue Group.  The company gave this non-profit organization shore power cables and inlets.

"International Rescue Group is a great group of people who are working hard to help others," said Aaron Bronson, SmartPlug sales rep.  "This group helps survivors all over the world and we're proud to help further this cause."

International Rescue Group provides first-line support and humanitarian aid to disaster-hit coastal communities.  The group aims to demonstrate that a small vessel can provide real aid in post-disaster situations.  To make the most of its efforts, it coordinates with other emergency and rescue agencies.

A revolutionary shore power system, SmartPlug is designed to replace the outdated and problematic twist-type power cord connectors currently used in many industries.  Its intuitive design and integrated safety features provide greatly improved protection against the two leading causes of failure and connection-related fires, loose connections and corrosion.  SmartPlug currently offers 30 and 50 amp products.
