Company news:
Engel, one of the world’s largest brands of mobile 12-Volt refrigeration has launched a new X-large portable freezer, the Engel MT80. It is based on our popular dual voltage MT60 model with the same foot print and is just taller in height featuring an 84 qt. capacity which can hold about 120 pounds of food. This is new model joins the Engel lineup now featuring 8 models ranging in size from 14 to 84 qts.
With its roots firmly planted in Africa and Australia, the Engel freezers have consistently out-performed, and dominated their competition in these harsh environments. Since 1967, over 3.6 million units have been very successfully sold internationally. They are considered world leaders with their efficient and vibration resistant compressor technology.
The secret of Engel’s performance, according to Paul Kabalin, who heads up the Engel agency in the USA, is the patented ‘swing’ compressor. The compressor has only one moving part, and is totally maintenance free. The result is an extremely rugged and reliable compressor, which has been proven around the world. Built for the off-road, RV and Marine markets, Engel freezers are much more resistant to vibration and outlast any competition!
Engel’s new compressors, which are all made in Japan, are the most efficient on the market and easily freeze to 0ºF – enough to freeze ice cream hard!
When used as refrigerators they draw as little as 0.5 Amps of power per hour.
Engel units run quietly, are extremely power efficient, and can even run off solar power or wind generators. Unlike component or remote powered refrigeration systems – Engel models are all perfectly balanced, and in harmony – which translates to saving valuable 12 Volt power. Engel’s are now available at leading outdoor and marine retailers. |
