Company news:
C. V. Starr & Co., Inc. has announced that its marine insurance subsidiaries have changed their name to Starr Marine. Effective immediately, American International Marine Agency of New York, Inc. (AIMA) will be known as Starr Marine Agency, Inc. The Starr Marine name enables the agency to further align itself with the heritage, values and expertise of the C. V. Starr brand, one of the most recognized and trusted names in the global insurance industry.
"This milestone marks an exciting new chapter in our agency's 60-year history," said David French, president of Starr Marine. "Changing our name to Starr Marine offers the unique opportunity to further distinguish ourselves in the marketplace and remind our client partners that we remain committed to delivering the innovative marine insurance solutions and outstanding customer service that have long been synonymous with our firm."
In addition to announcing the Starr Marine name, the agency unveiled a new company logo. Centered within the Starr Marine name, the logo design prominently features a compass rose, a very recognizable symbol in the history of marine navigation.
"We chose the image of a compass rose to reflect our agency's depth of experience and expertise in meeting the complex insurance needs of maritime businesses around the world," continued Mr. French.
To further increase awareness of its new name and logo, Starr Marine plans to place new print advertising. Featuring the headline, "New Name, Same Commitment," the advertisement reiterates Starr Marine's unmatched level of customer service and steadfast commitment to the global marine industry. The advertisement will appear in leading insurance and maritime industry publications throughout the remainder of 2006. |
