Megayacht news: Phuket-based Kingfisher Marine has acquired a new mega yacht, which is now available for private charter – MV Meditation. MV Meditation is a Thai-built vessel. She is a 121 feet long tri deck mega yacht capable of 8 knots at cruising speed carrying a crew of 10 including chef. MV Meditation can accommodate 10 guests with 5 en-suite cabins. She features a Jacuzzi and a fitness room and her charter rate starts at USD$9,000 per day. The charter price includes 5 hours of cruising, crew service, all meals on board (including unlimited soft drinks, juice, coffee and tea) and video on demand. MV Meditation also boasts some of the highest specification equipment of any charter yacht in the region. The VIP bedroom features a 17” LCD screen with DVD player and 5.1 Bose sound system. The Master bedroom comes with a 15” LCD, also with DVD player and Bose sound system. Guests can also relax in the Master cabin with a 92” projection screen, DLP Domino 30H projector and 7.2 THX sound system. One special feature with the Master cabin projection screen is with the Master cabin door open; the projection can be reversed and guests can watch their favourite movies on the outdoor deck directly outside the Master cabin. This is great for family and friends to sit down and relax with a movie outdoors or for entertaining guests. All these state of the art equipment is complemented by a wide selection of over 250 movies on demand which is loaded in the central hard drive that can be accessed anywhere throughout the yacht. Every cabin is equipped with a LUTRON GrafikEye lighting system, featuring 4 pre-set lighting combinations. Guests may switch from one lighting pre-set to another at the press of a button, whilst infrared wireless remote control puts lighting in the hands of the guest from any point in the room. Passengers can also stay connected to their businesses and the outside world through High Speed Internet connection, which is available when the boat is berthed in the marina. While cruising, passengers have use of a Toshiba laptop computer with 16:9 screen and GPRS 56K Internet connection wherever the service is available. The computer may also be used to enjoy movies that are loaded in the yacht’s central hard drive offering guests video on demand throughout the yacht. A fully equipped fitness room allows guests to stay in tip top condition. The room comes complete with a treadmill, home gym, rubber coated Ivanko dumbbells, yoga mat and aerobic steps. The sundeck (which also serves as the Jacuzzi deck) also features a reclining bike. The boat is also able to provide a variety of water sports activities including water skiing, kayaking, snorkelling, and diving. MV Meditation also carries a 33 feet speedboat “Velocity” with twin 250 hp Suzuki four stroke engines capable of speeds over 35 knots. This speedboat will be perfect to take guests in thrilling speed on snorkelling or diving excursions to areas too shallow for the MV Meditation and in much less time. MV Meditation is crewed by a team of ten including skipper, chief mechanic, mechanic, 2 crewmen, 1 chef, 2 maids and 2 therapists when cruising. MV Meditation is one of two Thai-built mega yachts for which Kingfisher Marine is the sole charter agent, the other yacht being the 130 feet Phayoon 3, which is recently under re-fit and upgrades. |
