Marina news:

Camper & Nicholsons Marinas is pleased to announce that Grand Harbour Marina, Malta has achieved International Ship and Port Facility Security certification (ISPS).

ISPS Code certification is aimed at protecting ships, crews, ports and port facilities from terrorist activities or attacks. It affects all passenger carrying ships such as Superyachts and other vessels over 500 tons, trading internationally. It also imposes stringent security measures on those ships and the ports they visit.

The purpose of the ISPS Code (SOLAS) is to provide a standardised, consistent framework for evaluating risk. Ensuring the security of ships and port facilities is a risk management activity and an assessment of the risks must be made in each individual case.

With ISPS certification, visiting Superyachts can be assured that all necessary levels of security have been both assessed and applied at the Marina - a great benefit to visitors, charter parties and yacht crews.

Grand Harbour is one of the few marinas to be ISPS compliant in Europe. As the only marina in Malta with this certification, Grand Harbour is delighted to be able to offer this important benefit to Superyacht clients.
