Olympic news: The first life-size model of the ‘Javelin’ Train – the new high speed train that will shuttle spectators from central London to the Olympic Park in just 7 minutes – will be unveiled at a photo-call in Stratford on Monday,30th October, alongside other key 2012 public transport modes including a low emission hybrid bus and Tube train. The model will be of the front of the train. The Javelin’s arrival marks the official launch of the Transport Plan for the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games for consultation. Lord Sebastian Coe London 2012 Organising Committee Chairman, Olympics Minister Tessa Jowell, Mayor of London Ken Livingstone, Transport Minister Tom Harris and Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) Chief Executive David Higgins will be in attendance |
