Company news:
Ritz Interactive, Inc., the e-commerce network that includes RitzCamera.com, WolfCamera.com, BoatersWorld.com and other leading online-shopping sites, reported a 32.2% increase in merchandise revenue for the third quarter of 2006 over the same period last year. Third quarter merchandise revenue grew to $19.9 million in 2006, compared to $15.1 million during the same three-month period of 2005. Ritz Interactive President & CEO Fred H. Lerner credits the sales increase primarily to strong consumer demand for new, state-of-the-art digital single lens reflex camera models from Nikon, Canon and others offered at the company’s photo-specialty websites.
“We attribute much of our recent growth to our loyal customers upgrading their entry-level digital cameras with the latest digital technologies,” noted Lerner. “Purchases of digital single lens reflex cameras with interchangeable lenses have far exceeded industry expectations,” Lerner said. “We pride ourselves in offering one of the largest selections of digital single lens reflex cameras online.”
Launched in April of 1999, Ritz Interactive has evolved into one of the Web’s most successful retailers, offering online shoppers an amazing array of products and accessories, plus the added benefits of no sales tax and free shipping on most photo items. In addition to its flagship Web properties RitzCamera.com WolfCamera.com and BoatersWorld.com . the Ritz Interactive network includes such popular sites as CameraWorld.com PhotoAlley.com , eAngler.com , OuterBanksOutfitters.com, and ShopAtShark.com . |
