Knight & Carver YachtCenter has announced a partnership with Renegade Super Grafix, a highly regarded yacht painting firm based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Starting immediately, Renegade will partner with Knight & Carver to provide excellence in yacht painting at Knight & Carver’s San Diego Bay facility, utilizing Renegade’s team of professionals.

Brown, President/CEO of Knight & Carver. “We now are able to provide Renegade’s world-class painting services for virtually any size yacht to our growing client base. This further enhances our standing as one of the world’s leading yacht refit/repair facilities.”
For start-up operations, Renegade intends to re-locate as many as 12 of its top employees to San Diego from its current operations, with a total of on-site staffing of a minimum of 20 employees anticipated by year’s end, according to Michael Savides, the firm’s South Florida and Gulfport, MS Operations Manager. Douglas McCandless will serve as San Diego Operations Manager.
Since its founding in 1994 in Fort Lauderdale, FL, Renegade Super Grafix Inc. has emerged as one of the yachting industry’s top paint contractors. Most notably, Renegade has provided full-service painting for 12 new-build megayacht projects at Trinity Yachts, now located in Gulfport, MS. These projects, all tri-decks, have ranged from 135 feet to 192 feet in length. The company currently has four new-builds at Trinity under contract and another pending.
In addition to its paintwork on new-builds, Renegade has performed hundreds of repair/refit paint projects. The company, which has 50 employees, is headed by founder Dave Thomas, who is a vital participant in all aspects of each project.
