Company news: Following the general mood of the Show, Sea Ventures have had, this year, its best result of all the 13 Southampton Boat Shows attended. The drop in gate numbers was more than compensated for by the high quality of customers visiting our various stands. Jeanneau sail boats performed exceptionally well, benefiting from 5 new models being displayed at prices representing better value than the superseded models and with an increase in specification and higher quality equipment. Over 60 yachts were sold of the stand with deposits paid and a record number of trial sails have been booked. The Aquador, Sabre and Back Cove motor yachts also performed strongly with deposits placed and trials booked. With a strong forward order book our new commissioning base at Hythe Marina will be looking to recruit additional electrical technicians and engineering staff.
