Company news:
Lombard Marine Finance is celebrating a very successful Southampton Boat Show which epitomises an equally excellent period for the company since January 2006. The 2006 Southampton Boat Show opened with the best two days on record, with many existing and corporate clients visiting the stand. The value of applications taken at the show also rose – up in value by 30.6% on the 2005 Southampton Boat Show.
One happy visitor included a gentleman whose entire deal, including an underwriting acceptance, was dealt with by Lombard within three hours of him giving the application at the show. This enabled him to place an order for a brand new Sealine with Peters Opal that day.
Ian Braham, Head of Marine Finance at Lombard, said “We knew that this year was going to be a success from the start when our stand was full on Friday with customers, helped in part by the 3,000 tickets that we and our parent company The Royal Bank of Scotland Group distributed in advance of the show. Customers who are in the market for a brand new boat are now able to make their dreams a reality quickly and efficiently with Lombard on advances from £5,000 up to £25million.”
Lombard’s stand, looking out over the marina at the Southampton Boat Show has also proved popular this year as it allows visitors to sit in beautiful surroundings while they conduct their business. The team at Lombard, based in Chandler’s Ford, numbers 21 and all the key staff members were kept busy at the show. |
