Boat builder news:

Back Cove Yachts recently signed a new dealer agreement with E Marine of Australia that provides a distribution channel for the company’s “Downeast style” motoryachts in Australia and New Zealand.

“Jed Elderkin, formerly of Maine and principal owner of E Marine, has long admired Maine built boats and the downeast style and has been searching for a brand to offer Australian consumers,” explained Bentley Collins, Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Back Cove Yachts. “On a recent trip to Maine, Elderkin came across Back Cove and decided this was the brand of Downeast style boats that matched his plans to introduce the Maine style into the Australian and New Zealand markets.”

“This is a significant new dealer agreement for Back Cove Yachts,” said Collins. “Both Australia and New Zealand have very enthusiastic boating communities and we certainly think the Back Cove brand will stand out among the other boats being sold there. E Marine’s location on Sydney Harbor is also an ideal location for Back Cove to begin importing our range of boats to these promising markets.”
