Company news:
Force10 Marketing, a sports marketing agency with an expertise in sailing, has relocated its headquarters to the United Kingdom.
Founded in the U.S. in 2003 by Scott MacLeod, former Senior Vice President of Octagon Worldwide, Force10 Marketing advises companies including UBS and BMW on their sailing strategies and investments.
Force10 manages and markets the World Match Racing Tour, the world’s leading professional sailing series, and the Superyacht Cup in Palma, Mallorca.
“The majority of our clients and our events on the World Tour are located in Europe,” said MacLeod. “This will allow us to be closer to our current clients as well as to pursue new business opportunities in the market where we see tremendous growth opportunities.”
Force10 offers a number of services including strategic communications consulting, event management, public relations, sponsorship sales and marketing, and television production and distribution.
Force10 advises clients such as UBS and BMW, both partners of America’s Cup syndicates, on their activities surrounding their participation in the America’s Cup, and BMW is a partner in the World Match Racing Tour. Force10 also is strategic marketing advisor to Elvström Sails in Denmark.
“We’ve grown a substantial company from nothing in a short amount of time,” said MacLeod. “There are many business opportunities in Europe that being located in the UK will help affect greater growth for our business.”
Force10 Marketing has set up two offices in the UK, in Lymington, Hampshire, and Battersea, London.
Joining the company are Yvonne Reid, former events coordinator for Onyx Communications and IRIS Enterprise Software, and Christina Sampson, former editorial assistant at IPC Media. |
