Company news:
John Ludgate has been promoted to general manager for Kop-Coat Marine Group, whose brands include Pettit Paints, Woolsey, Z*Spar and SuperNavi Paints. He will be responsible for overseeing all sales, marketing and production for Kop-Coat's factories in Rockaway, New Jersey and Vernon, California.
Ludgate previously held the position of vice president of sales and marketing for Kop-Coat for the past 6 years. Before joining Kop-Coat, he spent 16 years with Interlux Yacht Finishes in a number of sales and marketing positions. Ludgate holds a chemical engineering degree and an MBA from New York University.
"I look forward to the new opportunities I can help Kop-Coat create in the marine and industrial markets," Ludgate said. "We have an excellent team in place and will continue to grow."
He replaces Cam Metz, who retired after 10 years with Kop-Coat and was with the Koppers Company for a total of 25 years. Kop-Coat was formed in 1988 from the division of various Koppers Company interests. It joined the RPM family of specialty coatings companies in 1990 |
