Boat show news: The Stab 48 Fb Design powered by Isotta Fraschini Kerakoll, leader of the P1 Evolution class Powerboat World Championship, will be exhibited at the Monaco Boat Show on the XS MARINE stand. XS Marine has been following for the complete season the team lead by Mario Invernizzi e Giovanni Carpitella with much interest. The success obtained by the Kerakoll team have convinced Peter Dredge, responsible of the XSR – 48 Superboat project , that is being presented in Monaco, to go into depth and carry out research and make a feasibility study to then come up with a unique design and production of a “Superboat” and here, we have the birth of the XSR – 48 Superboat. The boat has been produced by XS Marine which has in common with Kerakoll, the hull of the FB 48 designed by Eng. Fabio Buzzi of FB Design, which has proven to be a winning craft. The goal is to present the fastest diesel powered superboat ever manufactured for the pleasure market. It has DNA of a “Supercar” applied for the first time to the marine industry. The propulsion will be identical to the Kerakoll boat as it has proved to be a wining combination. The only difference will be the setting of the Isotta Fraschini engines. The 6 cylinder in line engines will be set at 950 hp as model L1306 TS-RS4, with open circuit, as on the Kerakoll. The XSR-48 engines will be set at 800 hp with model L 1306 TS – 4V having double circuit sea water intercooled. < After this stop over in the Principality of Monaco the Kerakoll will leave for Portugal where on from the 29 September to the 1 October the final race of the World Championship P1 season will take place.. Mario Invernizzi and Giovanni Carpitella’s Kerakoll are at the top of the ranking of the championship with Osg Donzi team of Giancarlo Cangiano and Stefano Cola. The last two races will be very hot on the ocean in front of Estoril, 30 kilometres from Lisbon |
