Premier Exhibitions, Inc. (NASDAQ:PRXI) has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary RMS Titanic, Inc. has entered into an agreement to present Titanic Science at Insights El Paso Science Museum. Opening September 16th and making its Texas debut, this interactive experience immerses visitors in a first hand exploration of the collision, sinking and ultimate fate of the Titanic. While investigating the science and technology behind the sinking and modern day recovery efforts, visitors will view authentic artifacts recovered from the Ship's wreck site and learn the stories behind Titanic's passengers and crew.
"Titanic Science is a strong element in our Exhibition portfolio and allows us to reach new markets and audiences," states Arnie Geller, President and CEO of Premier Exhibitions, Inc. "This Exhibition was built to fulfill the demand by museums whose focus is with hands-on educational displays and will continue the success of the Titanic brand which has now been seen by more than 17 million visitors."
The Exhibition includes an interactive display where visitors can maneuver the Titanic away from a collision course with the iceberg, touch a replica ice wall that's cold temperature is a vivid reminder of what passengers experienced that night and listen to audio accounts of the sinking from eyewitnesses.
RMS Titanic, Inc. is the only company permitted by law to recover objects from the wreck of the Titanic. The Company was granted Salvor-in-possession rights to the wreck of the Titanic by a United States federal court in 1994 and has conducted seven research and recovery expeditions to the Titanic wreck site and recovered approximately 5,500 artifacts.
