Awards news: Monterey Boats was awarded the 2006 Volvo Penta Achievement Award, for recognition of having the highest single-year unit growth of any boat builder in the United States. Monterey was presented the award at its 2007 Model Year Dealer Meeting, held at the Sanibel Harbor Resort & Spa in Ft. Myers, FL, August 26-28, 2006. “This award really goes to all of the dealer partners in our global network, and to the 450 hard working, dedicated employees at the Monterey world headquarters,” said Charles Marshall, Co-Chairman of Monterey Boats. “We are honored that Volvo Penta recognizes that we continue to lead the industry through the design and quality of our products.” Clint Moore, President of Volvo Penta, personally presented the award to Marshall at Monterey’s Dealer Meeting.
