Product news:
Often, boat owners have to constantly adjust mooring lines in rough waters and tidal areas. To avoid unnecessary work, Dr. Shrink offers TideMinders, an inexpensive mooring line control system, from Go With The Flow Solutions. Improved TideMinders are available in black, blue and safety orange. They now protect lines up to 1" for mooring larger boats.
The popular system employs 9 virtually indestructible balls that are threaded onto the line and secured with two figure-eight knots. As the tide changes, the balls roll up and down with the flow, eliminating the need to adjust lines. The high-density polyethylene string of floating pearls offers constant tension with built-in shock absorption.
During storms, tidal changes or heavy boat traffic, the balls protect lines from fouling and chafing as they roll up and down any size piling. |
