Boat show news:

Step aboard the newest, never-before-seen models for 2007. Then cruise for buys at the Atlantic City In-Water Boat Show, the region's largest and the first of the fall season. The show offers the chance to tour the hottest sport and motor yachts, sport fishing yachts, performance boats, bow riders, walk arounds, center consoles, and cuddy cabins -- more than 700 of them ranging in size from 18-70 feet. It's all at Farley State Marina, adjacent to Trump Marina Hotel Casino, September 7-10.

The Atlantic City show runs Thursday and Friday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is $20 for adults, $5 for children under 12. Admission includes a one-year subscription to one of the following: Yachting, Motor Boating, or SaltWater Sportsman magazine.

Well known boating manufacturers Aicon, Azimut, Bayliner, Beneteau, Cabo, Carver, Chaparral, Cruisers, Davis Yachts, Formula, Grady-White, Neptunus, Ocean Yachts, Sea Ray, Silverton, Sunseeker, Viking and Wellcraft will display the latest innovations and upgrades for the 2007 season.

All new this year will be boat building for kids, an activity from SeaQuest. Kids from five years old through high school age, including those with special needs, will help build a 10-foot-long skiff.

Adding to the fun will be the Hooters food court with its famous Hooters Girls; the popular Marine Accessory Mart with cutting-edge marine equipment, accessories, supplies and technology; a chance to win a Hummer tactical mountain bike and to check out the H2 and H3 models from Hummer, the official vehicle of the Atlantic City In-Water Power Boat Show.

The Atlantic City show is second only to Fort Lauderdale as the largest U.S. in-water power boat show and is a member of the prestigious International Federation of Boat
