Company news: SailTime has announced the appointment of Jonathan Duffy as its new Managing Director for Europe. Jonathan has worked for SailTime for two and a half years and has moved from his previous US based role as Vice President of Marketing to focus exclusively in Europe. Jonathan originally set up SailTime Hamble in 2004 as a licensee before joining the SailTime Licensing Group in November of that year. Prior to SailTime, he held senior European marketing positions at both Kodak and Polaroid. SailTime Europe covers three bases in the UK and one in The Netherlands. SailTime Europe has grown rapidly in the 18 months since its launch in January 2005 and now has over 100 Members in Europe. Jonathan will be instrumental in ensuring that the growth continues. Jonathan says, “I am delighted with my new role and look forward to the new challenges I will face. I am really excited about developing SailTime in Europe and encouraging more people to see the benefits of becoming a Member.” To ensure the continuation of its current success and expansion, SailTime has set up a Base advisory board with SailTime Base Owners from all over the world on it. SailTime UK is represented on the board by Jonathan Duffy and Richard Pierpoint of SailTime Hamble and Lymington. The advisory board will meet twice a year and will discuss the needs of SailTime Base Owners, and how it can continue its expansion and growth in Europe and the USA.
