Coast Guard news: Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 54 will offer a boating class July 15 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Englund Marine Supply Building in Newport. A $25 fee for materials and lunch will be charged to attend the class. 'Boat Oregon' is the Oregon State Marine Board's guide to help boaters meet requirements of the state's Mandatory Boater Education Law and designed as an introductory course to meet the boating education needs for recreational boaters who operate personal water craft and powerboats.
