Company news: An agreement has been finalised between Konekesko of Finland and Yamaha Motor (UK) for the exclusive importation and distribution of Yamarin boats to the UK. Yamarin have been producing boats in Finland for over 30 years and have worked closely with Yamaha in Scandinavia to produce high quality products designed and developed using Yamaha outboards. With a range of 20 outboard powered models from 4 metre up to 7.4 metre lengths, covering all the popular leisure market segments, including cuddy cabin and bowrider sportsboats, small cabin and open console styles, the Yamarin range also includes a number of innovative models such as the unique 59 Hard Top which combines the attributes of an open cockpit with a walkthrough cabin. As you would expect from a Scandinavian manufacturer craftsmanship and attention to detail are exceptional. The latest technologies and injection-laminating techniques are used extensively in the build and the final result is a craft of high quality finish that is both practical and rugged. Renowned for their performance the hull designs take into account balance & weight distribution with outboard fitted, as well as hydrodynamic hull shape and optimum transom angle to achieve the best, most efficient performance. Most models also have many accessories available from teak decks to camper tops, steel keel guards, tables and trim tabs. And with exceptionally high level of information available from the factory, from numerous different tests with different Yamaha engine combinations, each boat can be tailored to perfectly suit individual requirements. Enjoying popularity with many different types of owner from family user to fishermen, Yamarin is one of Europe’s major boatbuilders producing in excess of 3500 craft each year. The official public launch of Yamarin in the UK will take place at the 2006 Southampton Boat Show which runs from 15-24 September, where a selection of different models and styles will be on display.
