Marina news:
The final preparations are being made this weekend by Castellon as they prepare to host the Trofeo Ciudad de Castellon, the second scoring event in the Breitling MedCup, which starts in the city on 4th July.
The infrastructure of the Real Club Nautico de Castellon has been transformed over the past few months, both on land and on the water. This is part of an ambitious project to create more moorings as well as improve the general watersports facilities at the Club.
450 new moorings have been added within the marina as well as a 12m wide pontoon that runs parallel to the Muelle de Costa and the Plaza de Mar. The fleet of 20 TP52's will be moored on this pontoon for the duration of the Castellon event. Because of its width, team vehicles will be able to service their boats directly from the pontoon and support boats will be able to be moored alongside, creating team 'pits'.
In the rest of the marina the pontoons are a minimum of 3 metres wide, which will make for greater ease of use as well as an increased number of berths. |
