Company news: Geert Jan Mantel, president of Yanmar Europe and Yanmar Marine, both headquartered in The Netherlands, has been appointed an executive officer in the main board of Yanmar Co in Osaka, Japan. The appointment took effect on June 21. Mr Mantel has a long and distinguished track record in diesel engines management and became president of Yanmar Europe and Yanmar Marine in 2002. He said: “This will be an entirely new experience for me and I am grateful to have been invited to take up this additional position with such an innovative and successful company. Yanmar has an outstanding history, stretching back nearly 100 years. I hope to be part of its centennial.” |
