Spain. Last tests for “+39”, “ITA 85” arrives tomorrow |

Today is the last training session for “+39” with the sicilian-gardesano crew on board of “Ita 59”, the boat whose sails read Regione Sicilia, Fondiaria-Sai and Sergio Tacchini and whose boom reads Yamamay, Db-Line.it and Gilli. Tomorrow will be their day off while “Ita 85” will get at “+39” base via truck from Tarragona port, where it had arrived from Leghorn. On Saturday evening “Ita 85” will be presented to the press and sponsors by the association’s president Lorenzo Rizzardi and by principal designer Giovanni Ceccarelli. Before the presentation, Act 12 regattas will be taking place, starting from Thursday: the first opponents are the Swedes of “Victory” and the Kiwis of "Emirates Team New Zealand”, two tough teams who have always galvanized Luca Devoti’s crew though. “Old” “Ita 59” will host the usual team, characterized by the three Olympic champions Iain Percy, Rafa Trujillo e Ian Walker. It will also host the new Finn class World Champion of Master category (Under 40), the Czech Michael Maier.
