Company news:
2006 is proving to be an eventful year for SeaSafe as the company celebrates its 40th anniversary with a move from its current factory and offices, near the centre of Cowes on the Isle of Wight, to a much larger factory just outside the port.
The company has also been very busy on the new product front with the mid- year launch of innovative products such as Hypo Hoist, an award winning man overboard retrieval device that quickly and easily recovers a conscious or unconscious person from the water; a range of undersuits manufactured from the new, ultra lightweight Flectalon material that SeaSafe claim are the warmest available today and a rescue blanket, also manufactured from the revolutionary Flectalon material, that will insulate the user even in the most extreme cold and could potentially save the life of someone suffering from the effects of immersion hypothermia.
SeaSafe, a family business first established in 1966, are probably still best known for their pioneering combination coat and lifejacket that has gained such widespread favour amongst professional mariners the world over.
Jeremy Dale, Managing Director of SeaSafe Ltd, comments, “2006 really is a milestone for the company, celebrating 40 years of successful trading. The current launch of new products will be followed by others in the coming months and we certainly anticipate needing all the space our new factory will afford us.
“We have ambitious plans for taking the company into a new era where we are universally known as experts in the field of marine safety clothing and equipment, backed up by an extensive portfolio of traditional and innovative products”.
