Company news: Underwater Lights Limited is very pleased to announce the appointment of a new distributor in Florida, to service its important American customers. Sales and aftercare in the USA will now be handled exclusively from Wesstech Inc based at 500 SE 17th Street, Suite 230, Fort Lauderdale. The new outlet will carry the full range of products including the new adjustable and LED ranges, as well as upgrades for existing small screwed bulleyts. Founder and CEO, Peter Urquhart, said of the move, “I am delighted with this new relationship which will enable us to continue to offer a complete range of marine lighting, both internal and external, for boats of all sizes to the US market”. Urquhart, sees a bright future ahead for the UK based company “Demand for quality lights is growing and we have invested heavily in research and development to ensure we remain at the cutting edge in product design.” Underwater Lights Limited manufactures in Germany and the UK to rigorous standards to meet Underwriters Laboratories, ABS and Lloyds Type Approvals. Urquhart, who is keen to point out that his previous distributor is no longer supplying the company’s products, having chosen to manufacture their own, says “I want to reassure our US customers that we have everything in place in Fort Lauderdale – products, spares, upgrades, repairs and an excellent level of customer service – to enable them to continue to enjoy lights of the highest quality and maintain Type Approval for warranty and insurance purposes”. Since Underwater Lights Limited pioneered the original underwater light in 1991, the company has supplied over 15,000 lights for ships, yachts and boats all over the world and are now recognised as leaders in the field. Working closely with leading designers the firm has led major new builds for award winning yachts such as M.Y Solemar and M.Y Ilona. |
