Multi Cup:


Multi Cup 60' has appointed Denis Horeau to CEO of Multi Cup SAS, specifically founded for this new event. "Having sailed on oceanic multihulls for several years, and fascinated by this extraordinary boats, I could only accept this offer."

Professionnal skipper on the main transatlantic races, in the 80's (La Baule-Dakar, the Atlantic Record, The maxi world championship, etc.), at the helm of his own boats or at the side of the great names of the sailing world such as Guy Delage, Yves and Marc Pajot or Bruno Peyron, he becomes race director and instructs the Vendee Globe 1989, Vannes-the Azores-Vannes 1992, The Gold Race New York-San Francisco through the Cap Horn 1998, the Figaro solo cruise from 1996 to 2004, The Race 2000 and the Vendee Globe 2004.

At the same time, in 1992, he founds his own company, Seven Seas, a communication agency organizing the major sailing events. Since 2002, he runs Ambrose Light, a consulting agency organizing sport events for : the International Boat Show in Paris, Orange, the Monaco Yacht Club, the Conseil Général of Vendée, cities of Saint-Nazaire and Vannes, Le Figaro, etc.

Denis Horeau takes the lead of Multi Cup SAS, starting today and will reveal the Race Instruction of the London-Alpes Maritimes at the very beginning of next week.

Otherwise, a 6th boat (Sopra Group) will participate, as a guest, to the first event of the Multi Cup 60' 2006, at the side of the 5 other boats already registered (Banque Populaire, Géant, Gitana 11, Gitana 12, Groupama). Sopra Group will be skippered by Antoine Koch.

Unlike announced in the last press release, the first event opening the Multi Cup 2006 will be the race named London-Alpes Maritimes.
