Event media:
The whole fleet has passed the scoring gate of Fernando de Noronha safely. Movistar (Bouwe Bekking) 1st, ABN AMRO ( Mike Sanderson) 2nd, Pirates of the Caribbean (Paul Cayard) 3rd, Ericsson (John Kostecki) 4th, Brasil 1 (Torben Grael) 5th and ABN AMRO TWO (Sebastien Josse) 6th. Now it is no stops barred to the entrance of the Chesapeake 3,335 nautical miles away.
Shortly after Fernando de Noronha ABN AMRO moved into the lead and are now are 5 miles ahead of Movistar.
They all now have the doldrums (ITCZ) to get through before the benefit of the North East trade winds. But with close to 3,470 nautical miles to go till they dock in Baltimore, Leg Five is by no means over yet.
