Company news: Princess Motor Yachts has announced the appointment of a new sea school, charter and boat management facility making them the first motor yacht manufacturer to offer owners a dedicated full time programme of training courses and after sales support services. Based on the South Coast of England in Poole, Dorset, the Princess Motor Yacht Academy (PMYA) will have three main functions – to offer Princess Training Courses, Princess Luxury Yacht Charters and Princess Yacht Management. With over 20 years experience, the PMYA is able to offer boat owners a full syllabus of shore and water based RYA recognised and MCA approved training courses based on the highest level of training. The courses cover all levels of competency, and have been designed for all the family making sure that everyone on board understands the rules of the sea. Specially tailored tutorials are also offered concentrating on any part of the motor yacht the owner is unsure of. The main focus of PMYA’s training courses is to improve boat handling skills and offer top level skippering knowledge making them more fun and hands-on and not so classroom or text book orientated. A section of the Academy’s website will feature a new online training programme that will enable participants to take the theory part of the course in their own time and in the comfort of their own home. With an extensive fleet of the latest Princess models available, PMYA also offers an exclusive charter service, offering a complete range of services for both the owner and the client’s chartering the boat. The PMYA management service ensures that boats are maintained to a professional standard and offers clients a comprehensive service from valeting to full-time skippering, which can be tailored to the client’s needs whether they are buying a boat for private use or are considering chartering to generate income. Although the main Academy is based on the South Coast of England, Princess Motor Yachts has appointed a number of carefully selected agents in the Channel Islands, South West of England, the Solent, the Balearics and France to offer the same high level of services in order to support Princess owners who keep their boats in these areas. |
