Company news:
Defender Industries has announced its 2006 year-to-date sales increased 27.1% over the same period in 2005. February sales were up 25.5%."Inflatable boats and outboard motors sales increased 48% in January and February," according to Defender V.P. Stephan Lance. "In fact, all sales channels and most product categories posted significant gains. 2006 is already shaping up to be another record year for Defender."
Terry Hart, Defender's Fulfillment Director, stated: "In support of our year-over-year sales increases, we're focused on processing record inbound and outbound volumes faster, more accurately and efficiently than ever before. This enables extended cutoff times for Customer orders, the vast majority of which ship the same day the orders are received."
"Our Suppliers ask why Defender's sales continue to outpace the industry for the fifth consecutive year," Executive Director Al Knupp said. "We recognize that increasing Customer expectations are being driven by Competitors both in and outside the Marine Industry. You can't be good at just a few things any more - and low prices alone don't work for the long haul. You've got to get almost everything right, and then continue to improve beyond that to achieve sustained success."
"The investments we continue to make in Staff, training, systems, processes, and inventory are being validated by our expanding Customer base of experienced boaters every day," Knupp added. |
