Boat builder news: The magnificent 605/60 Sundancer gives new meaning to the phrase “living large.” At more than 61 feet in length, this latest and greatest addition to Sea Ray’s Yacht line is the largest Sundancer ever. To create this new top-of-the-line model, Sea Ray’s ace design team went back to the drawing board and started from scratch. The result is an exceptional yacht that incorporates the latest developments in engineering and styling. With three exquisitely appointed staterooms standard, superior performance from the 1100 CR MAN engines and a host of luxurious amenities, this boat is in a class of its own. “The 605/60 Sundancer, with its modern look and exciting features, is the next step from Sea Ray into the future of high-level yachting,” says Dave O’Connell, Vice President/Product Portfolio Executive Sport Yachts & Yachts. “No boat has ever offered so many features that provide a perfect blend of luxury and convenience, beauty and performance, style and practicality.” Long-distance trips are a breeze at cruising speeds, thanks to optimal fuel efficiency from the last-generation MAN engines. When it’s time to pull into port, standard bow and stern thrusters make docking this big beauty surprisingly easy. Molded steps, wide walkways and an enormous standard hydraulic lift swim platform provide convenient access from the dock or water. On board, comfort and convenience are as abundant as the cleverly designed storage from stem to stern. Beautiful wood is standard throughout, from the teak sunroom floor and cockpit chairs, to the cherry cabin interior paneling and cabinetry; even the blinds are wood. The living is easy in the elegant salon, where ample plush seating encourages relaxation. A state-of-the-art entertainment center houses a 32-inch flatscreen LCD TV with remote DVD player and a Bose system with Acoustimass speakers.
